Luther Thomas Elementary, part of the Falls City Independent School District, is located about one hour’s drive south of San Antonio in Falls City, Texas. Located in the middle of the Eagle Ford Shale region of South Texas, Falls City’s agricultural and petrochemical roots are evident in our community’s population, culture, and work ethic. Our school district’s success stems largely from our community’s tight-knit, family-like environment. It is this community support which powers our tradition of academic and athletic excellence and is evident when you attend any school function and the stands, stage, or classrooms are full of our students and their families. At Luther Thomas Elementary our students strive to be “Eager Beavers,” or students who work hard, possess good character, make wise decisions, and support their peers and the community. Luther Thomas Elementary educates students in a positive and safe learning environment that is based on sound methodology, quality educators, high academic standards, and life-long learning. Another aspect of our school’s success can be attributed to our RTI, or Response to Intervention programs, which are tailored to meet the needs of all of our learners. Data driven decision making helps our staff to design curriculum that meets the needs of the diverse learning styles and abilities of our students. As our community grows and the needs our of students change, Luther Thomas Elementary will continue to evaluate our best practices in order to provide our students with the highest quality education as expected by our community.
