Heart, trust, and mutual respect are three concepts that set North East High School on the path to closing the achievement gap and leading our students to pursue their goals upon earning a diploma.

Our school demonstrates heart in the caring environment created by a staff that truly cares about our students personally as well as academically. That model carries into our student body as they care about each other with the same that same commitment. Our "INSPIRE" group, National Honor Society, student council, and "Big Picker" organization strive to provide service, education, and support to various students, classes, and local organizations in our community and to "give back" to those in need, realizing that our community family extends beyond the halls of North East High School.

Trust is modeled from the principal to staff to students and their families. This leads us to function and succeed academically. We achieved close to ninety percent proficiency in the Keystone tests for Algebra and Literature. Our staff displays a commitment to help all students achieve proficiency on these exams through a systematic and tenacious approach. Our students commit to additional instruction and assessment to achieve proficiency. We do this without pressure or stigma to help all students reach their potential, knowing that everyone is different and that teachers always put student achievement at the forefront.

Mutual respect is evident in the collaborative support of all extra-curricular activities. Our arts, academics, and athletics support one another and celebrate success of each group equally.
