Eureka Middle School The Pride Of The Eureka Lions

Eureka Middle School The Pride Of The Eureka Lions

Eureka Middle School includes grades 5-8. Eureka is an isolated community in the mountains of northwest Montana. Our community has about 1500 people and the closest stop light is 50 miles away. The remote location presents many pleasures as well as challenges. It is our goal at Eureka Middle School to inspire all students to be respectful, responsible, life long learners. We realize that equipping our students with a balance of technology, hands on skills, and traditional learning is key to setting them up for success.

However, far more important than any program we provide for our students is the relationships we build with each child. Our middle school has approximately 200 students. Each one of these students is loved and cared for as if they were our own child. This is the key to success for each student. We were nominated for this award because you can not tell the difference between our poverty kids and our non-poverty kids. Our children score well on the assessments regardless of their background. Our students know when they walk through the door they will be treated with respect, greeted with a personal greeting, and have a loving environment to thrive. This allows them to relax and learn in an optimal environment. We hire staff that share this philosophy. To work with our children you must truly love kids and it needs to pour out of you each time you work with them.
