Wines Elementary School is situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan just one mile from the heart of the University of Michiganís central campus. Ann Arbor boasts a prestigious public school system with over 16,000 students coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. With Ann Arbor as our home, we share a deep connection with the University of Michigan allowing us to forge partnerships to enhance student learning and experiences.
All staff members at Wines ensure each student realizes his or her aspirations while advancing the common good through a community dynamic. Student learning at Wines is personalized, curiosity driven, student directed, and inspired by outstanding faculty. Our teachers collaborate and analyze data from local formative and summative assessments as well as from state and national assessments. We identify focus areas for all students and develop Personalized Learning Plans for each student ensuring a challenging and provocative individualized curriculum.
The collaborative spirit of our staff extends to our families. Our community is invested in our school and our families are active participants in our successes. On any given day, you will see numerous parent volunteers in our classrooms, our library, the art room, the lunchroom, and even on the grounds making sure our school is beautiful inside and out. We develop relationships with families that foster teamwork. We pride ourselves in not only being successful academically, but also in our dedication to ensuring that each and every child and family in our community feels welcome, cared for, and part of something special.
