Under the auspices of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, Mount Alvernia Academy (MAA) is a Catholic, Franciscan, coeducational school located in Newton, Massachusetts, with a student body from Nursery through Grade 6. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, MAA embodies a culture whereby students grow in faith and virtue to “act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8).
