St. Paul's School - Covington, LA

Saint Paul

Saint Paul's School student representation of Lasallian Five Core Principles

Saint Paul’s School traces its origins to 1911, when the Benedictines of Saint Joseph Abbey purchased Dixon Academy in Covington. In 1918, the De La Salle Christian Brothers purchased Saint Paul’s and have owned and operated the school since. From its inception, the school has offered a challenging and relevant academic experience to its young men with a profound respect for the Lasallian tradition of education, which has been transforming lives since 1680. This education centers on Catholic values and personal relationships and emphasizes quality education, respect for all, inclusive community, concern for the poor and social justice, and faith in the presence of God.

Today, Saint Paul’s offers a 21st century academic program with a rigorous college preparatory core curriculum paired with innovative and extensive elective tracks of study. Innovation and adaptability to the needs of our students characterize the school’s offerings. Comprising a community of lifelong learners, the faculty and staff are committed to preserving the student-centered mission.

Knowing that an involved student is a better student, Saint Paul’s promotes and supports a myriad of extracurricular activities including 17 sports at multiple levels, over 60 co-curricular organizations, competitions, clubs, and countless opportunities for service to our school and larger community.

As a Lasallian Catholic school, Saint Paul’s takes its direction from the three marks of Lasallian spirituality: Faith, Service, and Community. Religion classes, level retreats, liturgies, service, and prayer permeate the daily life of the campus. In short, Saint Paul’s is a great place to grow up.
