Many factors contribute to making St. Pius X School a National Blue Ribbon School where students learn and achieve. As indicated in our mission statement, “St. Pius X School promotes the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of each child by embracing the Gospel values of Jesus Christ. St. Pius X School provides an exemplary Catholic education that helps students to be successful in their families, in their communities, and in the world.” Our students are provided the most robust and up-to-date curricula and are challenged to apply their learning to real world scenarios. Our students benefit from STEM activities that connect music, mathematics, science, and technology to 21st century jobs and learning. Students of all grade levels benefit from Differentiated Instruction. Preassessments, formative assessments, and summative assessments are used to guide learning and teaching. Teachers and administrators partake in grade level, vertical (subject) level, and diocesan Professional Learning Communities. They also attend and instruct at area workshops. Students in grades 5 – 8, enjoy technology in a 1:1 device environment. Others have classroom Chromebooks, iPads, and countless other devices. St. Pius X School is a parish school that reflects Christ to others through grade level and school wide service projects. Parents are actively involved in their children’s education in countless ways. St. Pius X school is more than an educational institution, it is a family of believers working together to form the Catholic leaders of tomorrow.
