St. Gabriel the Archangel is the largest Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Louisville (KY). It educates with the Catholic values of faith, family, tradition, and innovation, empowering all students to soar with possibilities. From the Annual Community Canned Goods Drive (raising 10,000 cans) to Blanket Louisville and The Pregnancy Resource Center, our students model the teachings of Christ through their many charitable endeavors. Students participate in activities that develop a sense of family and belonging, allowing them to identify with the school and its values. This continues to bring us students of alumni, teachers who are graduates, and a high teacher retention rate. While always embracing change, our school has never lost sight of its unique history and maintains its traditions. Alumni remind us of the importance of retaining special activities. With almost 60 years of experience, the present and future are shaped by what has been successful and memorable in the past. St. Gabriel holds a reputation for being a technology leader. With a focus on the integration of technology into the curriculum and cutting-edge technologies, our climate of innovation gives students the space they need to succeed, and encourages enthusiasm for learning, creativity and research. These life experiences give our students a broader sense of their role in a global society balanced with a passion for social justice. With all this and more, St. Gabriel supports an atmosphere where all stakeholders are valued and gives St. Gabriel the “feel” of a warm nurturing environment for all.
