Ridge View High School is the shared high school of the Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland school districts. Ridge View High School serves students from the rural communities of Early, Galva, Holstein, Nemaha, and Schaller. It is located in the very heart of the rich, fertile farmlands of Northwest Iowa. Facing declining enrollments and shrinking budgets, the Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland school districts began academic sharing in 2010-2011. Both school districts educate their own elementary children through the fifth grade. After 5th grade, Galva-Holstein sends its students to Schaller-Crestland for grades six, seven, and eight. All 9th-12th grade students from bot, Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland attend Ridge View High School in Holstein. Each District maintains its own governing Board of Directors, budget, and policies.

In the mid-2000ís, as student enrollment and budgets declined, it became increasingly difficult for the individual school districts to provide the quality and scope of education that the communities desired. Through a great deal of negotiation and compromise, the two districts came together to create Ridge View High School and provide students with an outstanding educational experience. Students from the two districts have melded into one unified student body known as the Ridge View Raptors. During public meetings in 2014, patrons of both districts overwhelmingly supported the continuation of the sharing agreement that is Ridge View High School. The success of Ridge View High School is a testament to the commitment and collaboration of both the Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland School Districts.
