High Peaks -4th Grade -Globe Studies

High peaks integrates essential skills and authentic content within the framework of the Core Knowledge Sequence to foster academic excellence and continued growth. In an atmosphere of respect and collaboration among all members of the High Peaks Community, students will build self-esteem and a lasting love of learning.

As a focus school, we teach a supplementary curriculum, based on the Core Knowledge Sequence. Our K-5 curriculum integrates essential elements of both the Core Knowledge Sequence and the BVSD Curriculum. Primarily, we teach elements of Core Knowledge in Science, Social Studies and Literature. High Peaks provides a rich, well-balanced, and challenging elementary school experience. Our talented teachers bring the Core Knowledge Sequence to life in active, creative, and frequently interdisciplinary ways (through dramatizations, art projects, writing workshops, collaborative learning groups, etc.). Our goal is to personalize instruction while addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child. Our students, teachers, staff, and parents work in an atmosphere of respect and partnership and there is a strong spirit of collaboration and community throughout our school.
