Del Rey Elementary School - Orinda, CA

Del Rey students break World Record!

Del Rey students break World Record!

Del Rey Elementary School rests nestled in a neighborhood just east of the Caldecott tunnel, in Orinda, CA. Built in 1953 on property with two creeks, mature oak trees, and views of the hills, it remains a neighborhood school with strong ties to the community.

We take pride in our school for its incredible community and the collective focus on student learning. It is the people, including teachers, students, parents, support staff, and the greater community, working together that make Del Rey the highly supportive and high achieving school that it is. We are a team of educators that embrace all students and collaboratively strive to improve and enhance the quality of instruction. We accomplish this through careful examination of data, ongoing professional development, grade level collaboration, vertical alignment, and a school wide focus on what is best for kids. The teaching and learning at Del Rey is supported through affiliations with Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project, Silicon Math Initiative, BaySci Partnership for Science, and the ALVO institute. We empower our students to know that they can do anything they set their minds to.
