Heights Christian Schools-Chino Hills Campus strives to educate students “to know Christ personally, excel academically, think Biblically, and positively impact their community for Christ.” That’s our mission and that’s what we’ve always worked to do.

However, when the Great Recession of 2008 hit, we didn’t just want to survive, we wanted to thrive in regard to our mission. Therefore, we accelerated improvements in our school program and intentionally added value for our families.

Improving on an already excellent academic program, we added Spanish, Accelerated Reader, the Success Program for students struggling academically, and the Accelerated Math Track and Advanced Learning Academy for high achieving math and science students. We increased technology in classrooms by adding Smart Boards, Digi-core, Discovery Education, and preparing for iPad technology in our 5th and 6th grade classes. These additions complimented excellent music, drama and art programs and computer instruction that were already in place.

HCS-CH increased professional development for teachers both school-wide and individually. Seminars on differentiated instruction, meeting the needs of students with special needs and classroom management have bolstered our teachers’ expertise.

These areas of intentional improvement have resulted in HCS-CH attaining the highest level of accreditation from WASC in both 2008 and 2014. Our students consistently perform exceptionally well at Association of Christian Schools International academic competitions in the areas of math, speech, and spelling. Parents from all segments of our racially diverse community enroll their children at HCS-CH due to its excellent academic reputation, Christ-centered instruction and small school family atmosphere.
