Vistancia Elementary School HEATS up student success with the many programs we offer our students! Here Everyone Achieves Together!

Vistancia Elementary School, home of the Heat, is part of the nationally accredited Peoria Unified School District. Vistancia’s primary focus is continuous school improvement, consisting of integrating College & Career Ready Standards as well as the opportunity for cross curricular collaboration. Vistancia is constantly searching for ways to better meet the needs of our students on every level of the learning spectrum. Vistancia has been designated an “A” or “Excelling” label school by the Arizona Department of Education since we opened. We target student goal setting, data-driven decision making, community connectedness, and capacity development. Our signature High Educational Achievement Track (HEAT) program provides an extra challenge for our high-performing and gifted students in the subjects of English Language Arts and Math. Vistancia provides students the opportunity to develop socially and emotionally through our school-wide behavior system, using our mascot Scorch, which stands for Safe, Citizenship, On Task, Responsible, Caring, and Honesty. We are proud of our school traditions and have many events that promote community fellowship and involvement, including our Fall Festival hosted by our Parent Teacher Organization, as well as Arts in the Park, where our art students display their creations and our choir, bands, and steel drum groups perform. A special point of pride is our annual Veteran’s Day celebration, where we host a breakfast for community veterans with a ceremony to recognize those who have served our country. This year Vistancia marks its 10 year anniversary, celebrating our past, present, and future successes.
