Old Shell Road School prides itself on being the only elementary creative and performing arts school in our county. The school’s innovation plan combines a rigorous core curriculum with an arts integration focus to develop the creative and critical thinking skills necessary for success in today’s world. This interdisciplinary approach engages our students in rigorous instruction designed to enhance creativity. Students are empowered to inquire, express, design, collaborate, and apply the skills and strategies taught in the arts studios to learning content throughout the day. Students of Old Shell Road School are prepared to approach challenges with creative ideas and thinking strategies.

In addition to an outstanding academic curriculum, the school provides instruction in a variety of fine arts studios, which include visual arts, vocal and instrumental, theatrical movement, dance, drama, as well as mass communication, media and technology. The arts studios provide platforms for developing, enriching, and promoting our students’ many talents as they engage in all aspects of the performance and creative arts. Our students celebrate the arts daily and have opportunities to showcase their abilities through school productions performed in our community.
