Saint James Catholic School is located in the heart of the city of Falls Church, VA, a suburb of our nation’s capital. Steeped in the Charism of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters, the faculty and administration offer a safe and nurturing environment where all students, with their diverse backgrounds, abilities and learning styles, are encouraged to take an active role in learning to prepare for the challenges of life and learning in the 21st century.
For more than a century, Saint James has attained academic excellence, offering both Algebra and Geometry to qualified students, as well as Spanish at all grade levels. Opportunities for student leadership have been provided to enhance students' educational experience through the Saint James Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society and the school's Student Government. In addition to a strong academic tradition, Saint James provides students with an opportunity to put faith into action at home, at school, in the community, and around the world. Students participate in various service programs throughout the academic year.
Saint James is proud of its technology initiatives, equipping every classroom with a Promethean ActivBoard. The school continues to invest in current technology including iPads, Apple TVs and MacBook Airs. Teachers take advantage of professional development opportunities to better themselves as catechists and teachers. Students excel in academics, in supporting charities, and in witnessing to the Gospel. Celebrating over one hundred years of service to the church and community, Saint James continues to be a model of Catholic education and academic excellence.
