Liberty Elementary is located in Eagle Pass, TX, by the Rio Grande on the US-Mexican border. In recent years, the Eagle Pass community has seen a rise in the number of immigrants from Mexico. The Eagle Pass ISD has supported schools in meeting this challenge by providing a high-quality education for all its students and promoting the value of an education in all aspects of academics, community involvement, and citizenship.
The school is a dynamic campus that is committed to providing a quality education through a challenging and well-balanced curriculum. In weekly meetings with the campus administration, teachers make data-driven plans to implement in the classroom. The staff takes the initiative in making personal connections with our students to ensure their success while learning and practicing self-discipline. Liberty Elementary students excel in academics, extra-curricular sports, cheer-leading and dancing squads, and community service. Their achievements are attributed to the dedication of a highly effective staff and the continuous support of the parents.
The students take home their "Soaring High Folders" every week. This communication folder enables Liberty to inform parents of their children's progress and campus activities. Throughout the school year, various school wide activities engage the community and families. The Liberty PTO is instrumental in assisting with motivational activities for students and staff.
Through the unified efforts of its staff, students and parents, Liberty Elementary has excelled through years of rigorous state assessments.
