ECHS students collaborate to change their community through education.

Early College High School at Brookhaven (ECHS) is proud to partner with Brookhaven College to offer our students the opportunity to earn two years of college credit before graduating from high school. ECHS is a part of the Texas Early College High School Network established by the Texas Education Agency.

ECHS is an innovative high school located on the Brookhaven College campus that allows students who are least likely to attend college an opportunity to earn a high school diploma and 60 college credit hours. The school provides dual credit at no cost to students, offers rigorous instruction and accelerated courses, provides academic and social support services to help students succeed, increases college readiness and reduces barriers to college access.

Students and staff support each other through collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. ECHS is proud to serve as an example of how poverty can be overcome to achieve academic excellence. ECHS serves a student population of over 80% economically disadvantaged and yet has been recognized as the highest achieving school in our district and among the highest in Texas schools with similar demographics. The students, parents and staff of ECHS are proud of the college-going culture they have established and nurtured and look forward to continuing its tradition of academic excellence for years to come.
