Madison Academic holds high expectations for students, as learners and as citizens. The school provides a rigorous college-prep curriculum, offering many opportunities to develop the whole person through AP and honors courses, fine arts, sports, community service, and extra-curricular programs.

Since its inception in 2003, the school has risen to the top. The school's Academic Decathlon team has won state and national awards every year. The school's ACT scores significantly surpass state and national averages and its sports teams have brought home multiple state championships. No matter the competitionwriting, speech, math, science, visual and performing arts, and athleticsthe school's students succeed because they invest the time and effort winning requires.

Madison Academic's school motto is "Taking Care of Business," and its students, faculty, and staff take these four words to heart and "heart" is the primary reason the school succeeds. The school values its students and believes they all can achieve if they are willing to work.

The school honors diversity. Students feel free to be who they are and know their unique personalities and talents are respected and valued. The school community learns, grows, and achieves together. Failure is considered simply a stepping stone to success. The school doesn't receive as much funding as many of the other area schools and it doesn't have a fancy new building or all the latest technology. What it does have is "heart." In such an environment, students can learn, grow, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
