A character education assembly celebrating our wise choices and civic engagement

A character education assembly celebrating our wise choices and civic engagement

The Enders Road school community is grounded by authentic civic engagement, character development and the academic, personal and emotional growth of every student. By educating the whole child from an inclusive perspective, a unique educational experience is offered to every student who enters the school.

Students learn that they can make a difference and that no act of citizenship is insignificant. Every single student develops a personal community service project to find a way to make a difference in the local or global community and completes a written reflection on the importance of his or her civic efforts. Additionally, each grade level takes on a cause and works cooperatively to give back to such organizations as local animal and food shelters, children’s and veterans' hospitals, military heroes, and international relief efforts. Students learn about how they can be environmentally conscious and create a school context that is sustainable. Classrooms work to achieve Gold Medal Eco-Challenge status by meeting a set criteria of "green" practices within their class setting.

Enders Road believes in rigorous standards for all learners and allows for equitable access to the curricula in an inclusive school environment. Rooted in the Common Core Learning Standards, instructional practices are research-based, differentiated as driven by assessment data, and designed to foster exploratory learning. Supportive parents and exceptional professionals work cooperatively for all students to actualize the reality of their potential as citizens and learners. The Enders Road motto celebrates a school, "Where everyone says I CAN!"
