Performing Arts Academy

At the Performing Arts Academy (PAA), we have created a community where passion for the arts is the hook that captivates the students to achieve academic success. The unique teaching philosophy strives to incorporate the arts into all educational areas by integrating curriculum and by interaction with professionals from the arts industry. PAA is a haven where students are part of a family with a shared commitment to their craft. Whether it be dancing, acting, or singing, the students affirm their dedication not only in their majors, but also in the myriad of extra curricula activities offered at the school. Recognizing the need for a strong academic foundation, PAA follows a rigorous education program which prepares students with 21st Century College and Career Readiness Skills. Global awareness, cultural diversity, and technological responsibilities are integrated throughout the curriculum to enhance the learning. Offering all academic levels to include: college preparation, honors, Advanced Placement and College courses challenge the strongest to the weakest students. Providing support daily in language arts literacy and mathematics allows for increased skill development and/or reinforcement. PAA is highlighted throughout the year with performances in-house in our Black Box Theater, Fall Dramas, and end of year showcases held at the Ocean County College, and the school musical, held at the historical Strand Theater in Lakewood, New Jersey. We have established strong partnerships with these performance venues that spotlight our students’ talents, abilities, and expertise in their artistry.
