Voyager Elementary School is one of seven elementary schools in Howell, Michigan. It rests in a suburban community with a small town feel. Voyager houses just under 500 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Students in the building strive to be kind to one another, to give their best effort, to be safe and to be responsible for all they say and do.

Voyager is a school community comprised of individuals who understand that educational success comes when two main factors are understood: the heart and mind of each student served. This focus has permeated the school culture, guiding each academic decision made. It is with this mind-set that student academic achievement data is analyzed, and targeted instruction is planned. Teachers have been able to help children become students who are actively taking ownership for their learning. Teachers build confidence within their students and then use data to help the students set their own learning goals. Students are highly motivated, and they are making more than a full year's growth.

These successes are reason to celebrate with the entire staff at Voyager. Celebration is due when considering the dedication the faculty and staff members bring to task each and every day. They are driven people, and they work together to create quality environments for students. Their collaborative nature extends to all teams within the building, and their efforts are first class. As the school community learns and grows, students become the ultimate benefactors.
