STEM Project- Second Grade students creating three dimensional shapes.

Linthicum teachers exemplify the school’s vision and mission statements and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. The teachers are creative in embracing challenges and changes with an open mind and provide a positive learning environment. Through collaborative planning and innovative scheduling, teachers make data driven instructional decisions focusing on student learning objectives and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students; helping to eliminate the achievement gaps. Another driving force is the implementation of the national Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS helps students to internalize the ideas of respect for self, others, learning, and property. This coupled with 'Persevering Attitudes’ encourages students to realize there are no boundaries for their academic success as they become responsible citizens who are career and college ready.

As a community school, Linthicum has a very active PTA and volunteer program with 100% teacher participation within the PTA membership. Through the support of the PTA and local business partnerships, funding has been provided for many school initiatives. Collaborative partnerships, along with the dedicated staff, have contributed to enhancing educational excellence and the overall success as a Maryland Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
