The mission of Fairview Elementary School is “to provide instruction that meets the needs of all students.”

Our goals are
• Students who have attended Fairview for at least one year will be at grade level in reading and math upon entering third grade as measured by Measures of Academic Progress (MAP).
• Fairview will close the achievement gap for all students in reading and math as measured by both district and state assessments.
• Students will perform at or above the 90th percentile in meeting individual student growth targets in reading and math as measured by MAP.

All students are held to the highest standards and supported to reach their full potential. Best practices of instruction are implemented to engage and meet the individual needs of each learner.

Fairview students learn cooperatively and independently, with assistance from a variety of adults during large group, small group and independent instruction. The school day is structured with the knowledge that students receive and process information differently and at varying rates. Differentiation is imperative.

Fairview also provides a daily, 30-minute intervention and enrichment block in literacy and math. Students who demonstrate mastery of grade-level skills receive enrichment and extension lessons during this time. Other students receive support to help them build essential knowledge. Our special education and bilingual staff co-teach in classrooms during this acceleration time.

Our school community is committed to high achievement for all. We constantly remind our students of our motto “No Goal is Too High Where Falcons Fly.”
