As Colorado celebrated its centennial in 1976, Homestead Elementary School opened its doors. Located in the Cherry Creek School District in Centennial, Colorado, Homestead channels the pioneer spirit and determination for which it is named. Our vision goes beyond classrooms to create an entire culture of learning and discovery. Homestead’s staff believes in inspiring our students, ourselves and our community to think, learn, achieve and care. Teachers work collaboratively to provide students a well-balanced, exceptional education in a nurturing learning environment. We know students learn best when they are respected, valued, safe, held to high standards and given clear expectations. Our teachers create an environment that encourages creativity, giving students opportunities to make choices and be responsible for their own learning. Homestead is a close-knit community of critical thinkers, caring citizens and capable learners. Our school is enriched with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds with 15 languages represented. We welcome nearly 100 students from surrounding districts to our student body. Throughout Homestead’s history, students have benefitted from the time, expertise and resources of our actively involved and dedicated parents and volunteers. We are a forward-thinking school that values history and tradition. Our strong traditions are the foundation for success and they create engaging opportunities to learn about history, culture and the world. We are proud to have given our best to past generations of young learners and are committed to continuing this tradition in the future. There’s no place like Homestead!
