Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Monta Vista High School is in its 45th year as one of the top comprehensive high schools in California and the United States. Approximately 99% of our students will graduate and 97% will attend college. The Class of 2014 boasts 63 National Merit Semi-finalists and 152 Commended students.

Our reputation for rigorous academics and extensive elective and co-curricular programs is noteworthy and supports our students in achieving extraordinary success, both now and in the future. The strong curriculum – including 26 advanced placement and honors courses in 7 departments – is delivered by caring and dedicated professionals who go above and beyond in service to our students.

Monta Vista students shine, not only in the classroom, but also by their enthusiastic involvement in extra-curricular activities. Whether that be in service to our community or throughout the world, participating in special interest clubs that foster and develop their passions, or giving their all in athletic pursuits, Monta Vista students bring their best efforts to every activity.
