Norfork Elementary School is a small school with big academic achievements. Approximately 250 students fill the kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms. Twenty teachers and eight paraprofessionals work diligently to ensure that each student receives exactly what is needed to be successful. With our small class sizes, students are able to get the one-on-one attention they deserve. Instruction is individualized when appropriate and extra help given when needed. The majority of our students come from economically disadvantage backgrounds. The entire school community works together as a team to make sure this does not adversely affect our students. Test scores do not indicate that economic status has any negative effect on our students. Norfork Elementary students always score above the state average and have been recognized on several occasions for their high academic achievement. Our school recognizes the importance of parents, families, and the community for student success. Parents and other members of the school community are always encouraged to be involved in our school and are invited to several school functions throughout the year. We have many volunteers who spend countless hours assisting teachers and students. We value the positive collaboration between school, home, and the community. We know our students are successful only because they have a large group of people loving them and supporting them 100%.
