All of the nearly 800 fifth and sixth grade students in the Solon Schools attend Orchard Middle School. The faculty and staff at Orchard are dedicated to providing all students with a safe, secure and caring environment with the highest quality educational program.
Orchard Middle School is the bridge in Solon between the elementary schools and the seventh and eighth grade Solon Middle School and Solon High School. Everyone in the Orchard school community works to help students learn the value of making good decisions, becoming more responsible and achieving academically at the highest levels possible.
At Orchard, everyone believes that all students can learn the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to be successful citizens in our changing society. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices in instruction to ensure that our students have access to the most effective opportunities for learning. Additionally, our entire Orchard collaborative team – from core subject curriculum experts to specials teachers in the arts – works together to nurture Orchard students and help them develop their many talents both in and out of the classroom.
We also believe that parents play a critical role in their children’s success and that the home-school partnership is the most important relationship that can be established and maintained for children. This key partnership is at the heart of what makes Orchard Middle School a supportive and successful learning environment for all children.
