NBRS Badge for Manhattan Elementary School

Manhattan Elementary School - Manhattan, MT

The Manhattan Elementary School resides within the community of Manhattan, Montana. Located one hundred miles north of Yellowstone National Park and twenty miles from Montana State University, this elementary school attracts families that are outdoor enthusiasts and people associated with Montana State University. It is also an area rich in agriculture, agriculturally based families and agricultural traditions. The philosophy of hard work and everyone pitching in to complete a task is very much alive in Manhattan. With the concepts of hard work, hard play, and the influence of a nearby university in place, the Manhattan Elementary School is a great place to educate children. The staff is well-trained and their backgrounds are diverse. Teamwork and a tradition of not allowing kids to “slip through the cracks” are corner stones in our mission of “Preparing Students for Future Success”.

With a dedicated staff at all levels from pre-K through high school working together; our goal is to produce students who will become contributing citizens in society. Music programs, athletic programs, and afterschool programs are all enthusiastically supported by our community. Manhattan School’s practices of including the community through the use of its facilities and school based groups such as the PTO, Friends of Music, and the Booster Club encourages students to be involved in their community through parental examples. In addition, a dedicated staff works diligently to ensure that all students receive the attention and skills that will prepare them for future success.
