Hello to all the children of the world! Glendover welcomes students from twenty-six nations and our diversity makes us a great place to learn. Our culture of high expectations, committed faculty, and model ELL program contribute to our success.

Glendover is a suburban school in a quiet residential neighborhood on a large campus. Our proximity to the University of Kentucky brings together students from all corners of the world. We appreciate that our students exhibit acceptance of and interest in cultures that are different from their own.

Glendover offers a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that enables children to develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically through instructional practices that ensure that all students achieve at high levels. Teachers set high expectations and hold students accountable for their learning. Intervention is focused and timely, and student use of technology is a priority.

“I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” We believe that education in the arts gives children a better understanding of their world. Because of this, instruction in the performing and visual arts is an essential part of our curriculum. Assemblies highlight the cultures of children in our building and expose students to dance, drama, and music from all continents.

We have been successful in instilling an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and have implemented strategies to ensure that our English language learners reach proficiency. We offer extracurricular activities to ensure that students’ talents and interests are valued. We celebrate our achievements and are confident that all decisions are focused on what is best for our students.

Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.
