St. Peter Lutheran School, established in 1863, is a vibrant learning community that continues to generate a legacy of success, achievement, and community involvement through the staff, students, and parents. Fifth generation students join others each day engaging in a comprehensive Christian education that embodies our mission and vision.

Students at St. Peter are mission centered. There are food/clothing drives, visits to senior centers, collections for Ronald McDonald House, cancer support through St. Baldrick’s and Phil’s Friends, and others. Globally, the students are connected to our sister school in Middleburg, South Africa by raising money to scholarship students, making items for the students and their classrooms, and sending eighth graders down during the summer on “mission trips”. The students also pack care packages for soldiers serving oversees, raise monies for water projects in developing countries, and pack food for Feed My Starving Children.

St. Peter started a new curriculum initiative two years ago called Pathways to Learning which has impacted the reading and math program for our students in grades 1 -5 in achievement and meeting individual needs. The Pathways program benefits the teachers in providing the optimum in differentiation and collaboration creating strength in instruction. Assessment data supports the increased individual and collective growth of the students since the implementation of Pathways.

The opportunities St. Peter students have in addition to an excellent academic foundation include a winning Athletic Program, an engaging Fine Arts Program, and active Service Organizations. Through all of these groups the students develop in leadership, service, citizenship, and character. The school is rich in awards from all of these opportunities!

For St. Peter, Christ-centered excellence is its heart!
