Saint Norbert School - Northbrook, IL

St. Norbert School is a Catholic School located in the Village of Northbrook, Illinois. Our faculty is proud to have provided a rigorous, faith based academic program in the Northbrook community for over 95 years.

St. Norbert School’s student body represents many nationalities and cultures and is supported by parents, alumni, parishioners, and residents of the Village. Our community is actively involved in the life of the school by supporting and fundraising for a new playground, the implementation of a school wide iPad program, and the transition into the Common Core Standards.

St. Norbert School empowers its teachers to participate in a school-wide focus on professional learning which is supported by interactive faculty discussions regarding developmentally appropriate curriculum and materials. Staff members share their strengths with one another to work collaboratively and provide the best education possible for our students.

As a school that begins with preschool and continues through eighth grade, we continuously assesses a student's cognitive and emotional development for more than ten consecutive years, providing teachers with the insight and opportunity to refine classroom approaches to each student's evolving learning style. As an additional benefit, St. Norbert School students learn firsthand about leadership and personal responsibility by befriending, encouraging and mentoring students in lower grades.

St. Norbert School students do more, thanks to elective courses as diverse as Fashion Design, Drama and Robotics, managed class sizes that encourage active student participation, and one-on-one interaction between teachers and students. Students graduate with the fundamental knowledge, demonstrated study skills, technological savvy, and personal self-discipline to succeed and thrive in the public or private high school of their choice.
