Roslyn Road School is in Barrington, Illinois and is comprised of approximately 440 students and 60 staff members. We are passionate in developing life-long learners and readers. This goal of developing strong, independent and dedicated readers is at the core of our academic principles. We believe that reading is an essential building block in the development of original and critical thinkers and learners. We are relentless in our pursuit of having all students reading at or above grade level by grade 3. The educational philosophy of the staff is to meet every child as a learner and develop his or her potential through a challenging, rigorous, and differentiated curriculum.

Strong bonds of partnership have been established between the staff of Roslyn Road and the parents of our students. Through this effort, a warm and nurturing learning community has been established in our school where an expectation of academic challenge and success has taken root. Teachers, parents and students establish individual learning goals for students through rich and ongoing dialogue related to academic and social growth. Confident in their abilities, and with the supportive guidance of parents and teachers, students strive for greatness in their learning.

Described as uniquely special by many who have experienced the school, Roslyn Road’s principal attributes this to the high quality teaching staff that makes the school the vibrant and dynamic learning environment it is. While there are many tools and resources available to teachers in making curriculum come alive, it is their dedication to students, passion for learning, and inspirational attitudes that drive the school forward in its mission to inspire all learners to achieve excellence.
