Allen Frear Elementary School is an outstanding school due to the dedication from our staff, students, parents, and the local community. We work hard to ensure we put student needs first and truly emphasize our motto of One Team, One Goal, No Limits.
The “Frear Family” looks for opportunities to teach to the whole child and focuses on implementing creative, differentiated, high energy lessons that build a foundation of success for instruction that is aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Our staff teams meet in Professional Learning Communities for 90 minutes per week to discuss instruction and analyze data to better plan lessons to support individual growth.
To support education, fitness, and overall wellness, we host many monthly events such as Academic Olympics, Spring into Fitness, Family Fun Night, Grandparent’s Day, Anti-bully events, and Positive Behavior Support activities. Parents are rewarded with “Frear’s Frequent Flyer Cards” stamps for each event they attend. Complete cards are submitted for a raffle with a prize for the parent. This program earned our school the Lt. Governor’s Parental Involvement Award! Therefore, it’s obvious that we focus on the whole child to promote readiness for the real world.
