Founded in 1943 by St. Francis Xavier Parish and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Xavier College Preparatory has built a tradition of excellence through its teaching of Catholic faith and values, innovative academic curriculum, community service, diverse extracurricular opportunities, and superior athletic programs.

Xavier’s 194 course offerings are sophisticated, innovative and global. 41 Honors and 25 Advanced Placement courses are offered across the curriculum, as are 42 college courses through a dual-enrollment partnership. Xavier offers an international studies program with educational, cultural, religious and service opportunities in France, Germany, Ecuador and Nicaragua. Our outstanding faculty is fully committed to educating “young women of faith pursuing excellence” both intellectually and spiritually.

To fully prepare students to become leaders, innovators and good citizens of the 21st century, Xavier integrated technology and fine arts across the curriculum, building an interdisciplinary approach to science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) learning that inspires creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Xavier’s Christian Service program was the first youth service program in Arizona, and students now contribute 32,000+ hours annually to serving the local community. Xavier also boasts one of the country’s top five high school Engineering Projects In Community Service (EPICS) programs.

Xavier’s nearly 1200 students are diverse, matriculating from 100+ Catholic, public, and private schools. We are strongly committed to educating all qualified students, and approximately 40% receive financial aid. Xavier graduates are well-prepared to excel at the college level, and 100% are accepted at post-secondary institutions.

Xavier is honored to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence for the third time.
