Due to budget constraints, only two representatives will be noted as “official school representatives” at the awards ceremony, although former principals who were building leaders at the time of the NBRS application may also attend. In addition to the two school representatives, superintendents will be invited separately. Some schools encourage others to attend as “school supporters.” School supporters may participate in some sessions and can watch the presentation of awards on a simulcast screen in an adjacent ballroom.

Principals should submit guest names of the official school representatives through the National Blue Ribbon Schools website portal no later than September 30th. Photo identification is required for both representatives at ceremony registration in Washington, DC.

School representatives are advised to book travel home after 5:30 pm on Tuesday.
