Homecoming Football Game 2019

The neighboring suburban hamlets of Plainview and Old Bethpage are located in eastern Nassau County, 33 miles east of NYC. In many ways these two close-knit communities function seamlessly as one, creating a welcoming environment to "Live, work, and play in Plainview-Old Bethpage!" as the familiar motto goes.

John F. Kennedy High School (POBJFKHS), the sole high school in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District, has a long, rich tradition of academic excellence. Its talented faculty offers a vast variety of opportunities for students to explore their passions, learn new interests, and prepare for college, career, and citizenship. POBJFKHS serves approximately 1561 students in grades 9-12, boasting a 99% graduation rate. The school has, over the years, been recognized nationally for its great achievements. Most recently U.S. News and World Reports ranked POBJFKHS one of the best high schools in New York State!

POBJFKHS prides itself on its ability to meet the needs of each student and does so by offering robust curriculum, including a plethora of AP courses to choose from, competitive college-level courses, music and fine arts tracks, and dozens of extracurricular clubs and sports, just to start. Our students are also extremely service-oriented, with many clubs and honor societies finding creative ways to give back to their community and tighten the already close bonds they've built.

We are proud of our community's unwavering commitment and support, for without them our Hawks would not soar as far and successfully as they do when they graduate POBJFKHS.
