Leonardo Da Vinci High School - Buffalo, NY

DaVinci Walk for Cancer

DaVinci Walk for Cancer

Leonardo da Vinci High School has successfully created an environment in which students are comfortable being themselves, and are given the ability to understand the world in which they live surrounded by a school family of supportive, positive, and understanding peers and adults. We are a diverse community in search of excellence, and exemplify how a diverse, multi-cultural family of learners can create a dynamism and energy that allows independent thought and self-exploration.

The da Vinci community reflects the future of Buffalo: multicultural, multiracial, inclusive, dynamic, accepting, and encouraging. For the past five years ago, the principal has focused the school on his concept of 'the da Vinci Way,' which includes our core values of 'Kindness, Courtesy, Dignity and Respect.' The 'da Vinci way' also includes completing 75 hours of high school community service, school-wide theme initiatives, and a focus on becoming community leaders in the cause of civil, racial, and identity equality.

Da Vinci students are a force for change and will be leaders in our community and in our country. Our causes may be controversial, our voices loud, our goals aggressive, but our motives are always fueled by the belief in the intrinsic right of freedom and dignity of every person. The world needs da Vinci graduates now more than ever to lead and transform our world. We will take control of our future with confidence, knowledge, teamwork, pride, and experience. We are the 21st century and we are ready.
