Located in beautiful Island Heights, New Jersey, our town serves as the backdrop for many learning experiences within our school. Students grow to appreciate the rich history of Island Heights through classroom lessons, guest speakers, and walking trips. Our quaint school is located within walking distance of the Barnegat Bay, which provides students the chance to learn about the local environment.

The small school atmosphere offers us a remarkable opportunity as a staff to truly get to know each child and their academic and social-emotional abilities. To prepare our students for their futures, technology and STEAM activities are infused within daily lessons through the use of iPads, Chromebooks, and coding programs.

In addition to offering a top-notch educational program, Island Heights Grade School prides itself on providing a character education program that results in a team-oriented culture. This has led our students to take an active role in giving back to local community organizations. Through Project TEAM, our Sea Devils learn the six foundations of good character: helping others, positive change, anti-bullying, problem solving and conflict resolution, resiliency, and leadership.
