Kennedy School is a special place to grow and learn due to our strong collaborative partnerships between school, home, and community. Together, we provide a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable academic environment for our students. Our school community strives to bring our core values of consideration, kindness, achievement, perseverance, respect, safety, engagement, and inclusivity to life every day as we learn and grow together. Students facilitate whole-school meetings and school activities to emphasize community and celebrate our shared values.

Authentic learning is at the heart of our teaching at Kennedy. Teachers collaborate to plan unique experiences that provide a springboard for students to pursue reading and learning about personal interest topics. Our ladybug mascot was named the official state insect due to Kennedy School students' efforts, who filed a petition and followed the legislative process to the Massachusetts State Legislature's successful passage of the bill. We partner with many local cultural and academic institutions to bring experiential learning into our classrooms. You will find our students digging for artifacts, exploring pond life, and attending orchestra concerts due to our school community's generous support of enrichment programs and field trips.

At Kennedy, we continuously work to increase our effectiveness as high-performing teams to problem-solve to meet our students' academic and social-emotional needs. We share a collective belief that we need to continually reflect on our educational practice and use feedback to improve student outcomes. We help our students set goals for their personal growth and support them throughout their elementary years to build a foundation for lifelong learning and success.
