Students at Fairview Elementary share their talents fearlessly!

Students at Fairview Elementary share their talents fearlessly!

Fairview Elementary is a small rural school in the Idaho Falls community. Our teachers and community work together to set and achieve high academic goals each year. The past two years we have worked hard on Tier 1 instructional best practices. This included working in Professional Learning Communities to identify essential standards, develop curriculum to meet these standards, and to set goals as students and teachers. We make learning visible to our students and families. Our community has supported us by striving to leave students in school during CORE instruction, which is huge! We continue to not only strive for excellence in Tier 1 instruction, but to encourage our students to develop and share their talents fearlessly!

We have learned that we work the most effectively as a team. What's best for kids is always at the center of the decisions we make daily. Our RTI team has led the way with meeting with each family individually and discussing what is best for each individual student that may be struggling. Developing these plans with our families is one important way we have changed the learning atmosphere at Fairview Elementary.

We encourage each other and our students to strive for their best daily and to push themselves to something they haven't achieved yet.
