Recognizing our Respectful and Responsible Rams!

Altoona Elementary School is located in central Iowa and is a part of the Southeast Polk Community School District. Altoona Elementary provides a safe and positive learning environment for our students and the families we serve. We are committed to ensuring academic excellence, mutual respect, and fostering a true appreciation for diversity. We strive to provide rigorous learning experiences and leadership opportunities for our students. We want our students to be established problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and confident learners who have every opportunity to succeed in the school setting and beyond. Throughout this journey, it is extremely important for our staff members to seek and foster healthy relationships with our students, parents, and the community. We truly value the input of our students and parents and realize that developing a strong partnership will go a long way in helping our students: LEARN, LEAD, and LIVE.
