NBRS Badge for Saint Dominic School
Saint Dominic School - Springfield, KY
From Hands-on to Many Hands Working Together...at Saint Dominic School
St. Dominic School is situated in the heart of downtown Springfield, Kentucky. Since 1929, we have provided a blend of tradition and trend, as we embrace both our long history of academic excellence and Catholic faith formation as well as innovative strategies in teaching and learning.
As an Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic school, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for students from a variety of ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds. Our ultimate mission as a Catholic school is to prepare our students to be good stewards of God's gifts and to be active participants in their faith community, the surrounding community of Springfield and Washington County, and beyond. We believe that our foundation in faith and academics will form the basis of our students' present and future success.
That foundation is based on four core values, which we recite daily:
I am the good person God created me to be.
I will be a friend to everyone.
I will respect all people, including myself.
I am called to help and serve others.
I will be responsible in all that I do.
Our National Blue Ribbon School distinction is truly an honor, one that demonstrates what a small, rural school can accomplish through the collective efforts of parents, teachers, and students, as well as the never-ending support of a church and school community who believe in our mission and vision. With that support, we are able to do great things at St. Dominic School!
