Holland Elementary School - Holland, IN
Students excited about STEM!
Holland Elementary is located in rural southern Indiana serving students in grades PreK-Fifth grade. Our school's climate and culture are built on the values of the community which includes working hard, helping others, and striving for excellence. In partnership with parents and community, Holland Elementary prepares students to reach their full potential as lifelong learners and to thrive in an ever-changing society, both academically and socially.
Our learning environment provides rigorous and differentiated instruction. Teachers and staff utilize 1:1 technology, STEM, and Project-Based Learning to increase student engagement. Students enjoy sharing their STEM projects, academic achievements, and special messages with parents through their 1:1 device. The 1:1 initiative ensures our students obtain 21st-century skills that promote responsibility and collaboration.
Along with academic achievement, the teachers and staff focus on building meaningful relationships with students and families. Holland Elementary has an active and supportive Parent Teacher Organization. They provide students, staff, parents, and community members a chance to share in fun and fellowship. The PTO hosts various social events including an annual Fall Festival, holiday parties, quarterly celebrations, and carnival day. Over the summer PTO volunteers, staff members, and past/current students came together spending multiple days upgrading the school's playground. Together we can foster a successful future by empowering our students to become high achievers and lifelong learners as they journey to become productive, responsible citizens.
