Choices In Learning Elementary Charter School provides students with an environment where academic excellence and a warm, loving community are nurtured. Students in Pre-K through fifth grade are given opportunities to learn in the way that best meets their needs. Choices In Learning implements Success for All, a curriculum researched and developed at Johns Hopkins University. The curriculum requires peer support and collaboration, which has been especially valuable in increasing academic achievement as evidenced by our superior results on state assessments. We also incorporate Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) skills and strategies in all of our classrooms. Students in all grades interact with technology daily. Students in fourth and fifth grades are assigned Kindle Fires for use, and students in all grades use laptops frequently in their classrooms. We have found this to be so important in advancing teaching and learning in our school.

Choices In Learning also engages families in supporting students very effectively. Students can participate in clubs such as fencing, drama, cross country, soccer, yoga, and chorus. We truly strive to make our school a community by partnering with families, and as a result, our students develop into lifelong learners and incredibly hard workers. We are so proud of the efforts of our students and parents.
