Healthy bodies, healthy minds - Physical Education in Alaska

Aurora Elementary recognizes the environment the students come to every day is critical to their success. We provide a safe and caring atmosphere combined with an intentionality in every procedure and process. Everything that happens in the school is purpose driven. Our culture is one of learning. We expect all of our students to succeed, and through their success we succeed.

We believe our neighborhoods and the families in them are our most important assets. We warmly welcome our parents and community into the school at every opportunity. A popular annual Aurora event is our family multicultural night. When the parents and staff share their cultures with one another it allows everyone the opportunity to learn about each other, thus bringing them together as a larger school family.

Fostering this community involvement creates vital relationships that expand the learning environment beyond the walls of the school. Therefore, we involve the entire community to benefit the students, so that every student can achieve their full potential.
