ChES Young Knights working on our graffiti wall!

Chancellor Elementary School, home of the Knights, is located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, approximately halfway between the State Capital of Richmond and our Nation's Capital of Washington D.C. Chancellor Elementary serves our Young Knights from preschool through fifth grade. Chancellor Elementary is becoming more diverse with each school year, as new cultures and ideas are introduced to our wonderful school. Over the past eleven years, Chancellor Elementary has been recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia's VIP Index Awards, attaining the highest recognition in 2012, The Governor's Award. We are often asked the secret to our success and it can be summed up with our four ingredients recipe: hard-working students, dedicated staff, parental involvemet, and community support.

Each year, our Young Knights rise to the occasion on the state mandated end-of-year 'Standards of Learning' exams. The students want to exemplify the knowledge obtained from their amazing teachers. Chancellor Elementary has a dynamic PTA, offering grants for teachers to enhance learning opportunities, providing activities before and after school for family engagement, and promoting values within our school throughout the entire year.

Through technology, performance assessments, engaging lessons, mindfulness, and feeling loved in their classroom and school community, our students are well-rounded academically, socially, and emotionally. Chancellor Knights are proud to be respectful, responsible, and productive.
