Fostering a Love of Learning at Melrose School

Fostering a Love of Learning at Melrose School

Melrose School is a community with an overarching theme of a love of learning coupled with respect and trust. We are a school that works collaboratively to strengthen the academic programs by analyzing data, utilizing instructional strategies, and ensuring high expectations for all students. This has positively impacted and increased student's academic achievement. The positive energy and love of learning is a natural part of the school community.

Melrose is always looking for ways to integrate STEAM to support student innovation and learning. Utilizing project-based learning to provide more opportunities for critical thinking and application is what we strive for a Melrose. Partnering with community resources to enhance STEAM for our students is one of our strategies to increase higher levels of learning and student engagement. We provide students with authentic experiences connected to standards. Success has been measured by their final creations and by their usage of problem solving skills and perseverance.

The culture at Melrose School is conducive to student learning and staff professional growth. We have developed and currently participate in professional learning communities. The emphasis is on the learning, working together, and a deep focus on results. Melrose is truly committed to continued development for students, teachers, parents, and other contributing members. We support and challenge all students to embody a growth mindset and foster a love of lifelong learning.
