Buffalo Lake-Hector-StewartL Elementary was recognized as a Minnesota Reward School in 2014-15 and again in 2015-16 (designation was not given out for the 2016-17 school year in Minnesota). BLHS does this by evaluating, reflecting, and adapting our best practices and professional collaboration, while searching for better student-centered outcomes.

As a result, BLHS is an elementary school where many other area and state-wide elementary staffs come to observe and connect professionally on our successes. We are often times imitated in what we do in relation to our professional learning communities, our committee structures, and our attention to details and purposes in honing in on student outcomes.
