Teach Elementary students celebrating the opening of our new campus!

Teach Elementary is a school of choice in the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. Our vision is to promote leadership, responsibility, collaboration, and independence in our students, paving the way for them to become innovators, explorers, lifelong learners, and contributors to a diverse global community.

With an emphasis on STEAM education, our Innovation and Exploration Initiative and Project-Based Learning develop world citizens with critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills. Robotics coding, computer-aided design, 3-D printing, and multimedia production develop design engineering skills. Outdoor learning at overnight science camps and in the school garden augments Next Generation Science Standards with experiential learning and environmental awareness.

Teachers utilize various instructional strategies to provide deeper, broader exploration of content, meaningful dives into real-world problem-solving, and opportunities for students to enhance their strengths and grow.

Through extensive parent involvement and Cal Poly partnerships, we bring experts in the field into our classrooms, providing extraordinary learning experiences for students and engaging them in local and global matters. Students also contribute back to our community through service learning.

We strive for excellence and challenge our own thinking about our program. We consider what students need to become critical thinkers and problem solvers today and in the future. Our program is a dynamic, growing entity because of the creative influence and shared leadership of our students, teachers, staff, parents, and community.
