Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley in the city of San Jose, Joaquin Miller Middle School is a comprehensive middle school for 6-8th grade students. In addition to the traditional neighborhood school, Miller is also home to the Cupertino Language Immersion Program, the middle school extension of a K-8 Mandarin Immersion program.

Miller Middle School opened its campus in 1959 and currently has approximately 1200 students in attendance. Miller has a long-standing commitment to provide a rigorous educational experience including elective and enrichment opportunities. Each year, our teachers and staff ask the students to join us in our school vision of Pursuing Excellence in a Caring Environment. Staff and students embrace The Mustang Way....Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Caring as community expectations.

All students are offered a rigorous standards-based curriculum, a wealth of elective opportunities and an extensive after school sports program. The instructional program incorporates intellectually challenging and developmentally appropriate programs with embedded enrichment and intervention based on student need.
